Read the Bible for Life: Scholar Series (on Biblical Hermeneutics) Part 1

If you have some down time, check out these short videos on biblical hermeneutics. B&H Publishing Group developed a web video series called Read the Bible for Life: Scholar Serieswhich is a collection of short videos by some of today's finest evangelical Bible scholars. RBL desires to grow an awareness for biblical literacy around the world. They want people to not just read the Bible, but know what the Bible means.

Below are some short videos from NT scholar, Andreas Kostenberger, who explains to us how we need to know what the Bible "means" not just merely read what the Bible "says" in essence. He has written volumes about the context of the New Testament, but his expertise is well regarded in John's Gospel, Letters, and Revelation. His most recent contribution in biblical theology is his massive academic book called A Theology of John's Gospel and Letters: The Word, the Christ, the Son of God. It has quickly become one of my favorites. His recent output of good information is unmatched in my opinion, and I have learned an even greater tool for biblical interpretation from his new book Invitation to Biblical Interpretation: Exploring the Hermeneutical Triad of History, Literature and Theology. Kick back and enjoy the videos!
