Pray for New York Harvest Crusade

The Harvest Crusade is almost ready to burst on scene in New York City! From my understanding, the last time an evangelical outreach was held in Madison Square Garden was by Billy Graham on May 15, 1957. This Sunday, Pastor Greg will have a wonderful opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the most diverse and international city of race and religion.

Pastor Greg is more determined that ever before to preach the Gospel. He has a passion like the Apostle Paul who said "So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. " (Romans 1:15). See in Paul's day, Rome was like the New York of the world. In that time of history and culture, everything happened in Rome and through Rome. Just like today, almost everything runs through New York internationally. I see Pastor Greg agreeing with Paul, "So as much as in me, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are in New York also."

Politics, Power, and Popularity thrive continuously throughout the City of New York, influencing the world and our culture. New York City is known as "The city that never sleeps," because of the endless business that takes place within the city. We need to pray that the city will STOP and listen to God's word. Pray that the event will start a buzz in the city for the cause of Christ! The Gospel is desperately needed in the epic city of New York City!

Also remember to pray for all the volunteers and the workers who will be helping run the crusade, plus pray for the SWAT Team. They will be inviting hundreds of people to the event on the streets. Pray for their safety, and for boldness to proclaim and defend the word of God! I am excited and expecting the Lord to do a great work in NY.
