7 Reminders To Know God's Will

Here are 7 reminders from God's word to show us His will for our lives. God's will is not something that we need to find, or search for to please God and have His providence. It is not some hidden blueprints or movie script that you need to seek after or obtain in order to be in His will. God's will is a condition in which a believer submits his life to Christ in obedience and holiness. It is when a believer's priority, passion, and purposes are to live for His kingdom and righteousness.

These 7 reminders can be broken up into two general categories. God's will for humanity, and God's will for believers. God's ultimate will is that men would be saved (which is the first point). Luke 3:6 says that "all humanity, will see the salvation of God!" Peter goes on to teach us in 2 Peter 3:9 that "the Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance." This is God's essential will for humanity - that men get saved.

After someone becomes a Christian, they have to live out their faith (these are the last six points). They have to be a doer of the word (James 1:22). They have to persevere and continue to grow and build godly character through good times and tough times (Romans 5:3-5). They need to become more like Christ! (Romans 12:2). This is God's essential will for believers - that believers be sanctified.
